Cinco de Mayo in Mexico

Mexicans celebrate Cinco de Mayo, this is the Spanish name for fifth of May, in a grand manner and this is a regional holiday in Mexico and all the people celebrate this occasion as paying tribute to their country. This is mainly celebrated in the State of Puebla and this day is celebrated commemorates the victory of Mexican army over French troops and so the Mexicans are very proud of this day and they celebrate this day with dignity and pride in their hearts. Actually this day has limited heritage in Mexico, but in the United States and around the world this day is looked upon as Mexican heritage and pride and Mexicans can be very proud of this.
The people organize many cultural activities on this day and this day is a fun filled one. On this day, many schools organize so many events and they also educate the students about the historical significance of this day. Many cultural events take place outside Mexico too in this day. Vancouver in Canada organizes some sort of sky diving event during this day. In Malta in the Mediterranean islands celebrate this day by drinking Mexican beer which is a very popular drink.
